AL4LIFE presented at the Fair of European Projects
This year’s event gathered more than 40 institutions, organizations, companies and NGOs that implement projects funded by various programs of the European Union and aim to promote the project activities and achieved results, as well as opinions and experience exchange and consider opportunities for cooperation and development of new joint projects.
The main goal of the project is the establishment and institutionalization of alumni structures at partner universities from the Western Balkans, the inclusion of alumni in teaching, mentoring and research process, as well as strengthening these institutions relations with economy. By engaging alumni the study programs and teaching methods will be improved, primarily through strengthening the segment of practical training and entrepreneurship and with cooperation with the Offices for Career Development and Lifelong learning, i.e. with Career Centers, the activities will be carried out to build professional and personal students’ skills, all with the aim of better alignment with the needs of the labor market, i.e. better employability of graduated students. The project foresees the improvement of University of Montenegro’s research capacities, its funding, commercialization and connection with the innovative economic potential, which will contribute to the establishment of “Alumni Research Chair” and the systems for granting scholarships to the PhD students.
The interactive internet platform of the alumni community of UoM (whose main component is the database, i.e. the alumni registration system) has been created within the project. The purpose is to provide information and promote the alumni community, as well as, to enable and encourage communication, connection and cooperation with alumni (www.alumni.ucg.ac.me).
